1st Session Liceo Classico La Farina

diciembre 11, 2025

In the 1st session held at Liceo Classico La Farina, we introduced some foundational concepts essential for the development of the project. Students received an introduction to EU institutions, European values and the impact of European policies on local communities. Through concrete examples taken from everyday life, we explored how decisions made at European level influence education, transport, digital transformation and youth opportunities.

This session also helped create the necessary foundation for the investigative work required in the competition phase of Solvers Next Gen. Students examined how to identify reliable sources, distinguish opinion from fact and navigate official platforms such as Erasmus+ Project Results, Eurodesk or Europe Direct. The ability to search, evaluate and process information is central to the project’s goals and contributes to the development of more autonomous, informed and active young citizens.

Through short group dynamics, we encouraged students to generate preliminary research questions and reflect on what aspects of EU policies resonate the most with their communities. Their initial ideas will serve as seeds for their future work on the Green Book and their journalistic investigations.
